About Hebert Honey
Hebert Honey was founded in 1990 with one hive in Danielson, Connecticut. The founder, David Hebert, was born in Brockton, Massachusetts. After graduating from Springfield College he worked as an Executive for the Boy Scouts of America, as Superintendent of Parks and Recreation, and after a twenty four year career with the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers as a Park Ranger and Park Manager, settled in Oxford Massachusetts. Dave’s rich background in nature and the out of doors developed a respect for all things Natural. Having raw materials at hand from his beekeeping operation has lead, over time, to the creation of a line of products for the whole family that are wholesome and 100% natural.
Dave's son David Hebert III, and grandson Patrick Hebert were early students of Dave's Beekeeping craft. Over the years, the two took what they had learned, and decided to embark on a mission of their own. Carrying on with the same ideals, top secret recipes, and dedication to all natural high quality handmade products, Patrick and David launched Hebert Honey Texas in Corpus Christi.

Frequently asked questions
Honey is a sweet, thick substance produced by bees from the nectar of flowers. The bees remove moisture from the nectar and add enzymes that produce the honey we all know and love.
Yes! All Hebert Honey is raw. We do minimally heat our honey and use a course strainer. Not too many people want legs and wings in their honey!
Honey stored in sealed containers can remain stable for decades. However, honey is susceptible to physical and chemical changes during storage. Over time, Honey tends to darken and lose its aroma and flavor, or it will crystallize.
Place the honey into a pan or container. Pour warm water (not boiling) into the container to surround the honey. In five-minute intervals, remove the honey from the pan and stir. Place the honey back into the container and repeat until the honey is back to its original liquified form.
The honey is heated minimally to reduce sugar crystals before bottling. We will never heat honey more than what it would naturally be in the hive on a warm summer day. All enzymes and nutrients remain inthe honey, therefore it’s not considered “pasteurized”.
